You're about to start using a Virtual Workstation, and you'd like to understand "Select a resource pool".
After logging into the StratusCore Virtual Studio Dashboard, you begin following the steps to start a Virtual Workstation. Your at Step #3, "Select a resource pool:"
"Select a resource pool:" can have multiple selection possibilities.
PLEASE NOTE: In order to select a resource pool, you must have resources, AKA purchased Virtual Workstation hours, or trial Virtual Workstation hours.
"General"
The resource pool "General" means that you will be using YOUR Virtual Workstation hours to create. If you have logged in with your account and you purchased Virtual Workstation hours for your account, select the General pool.
"Project:<project name>"
The resource pool "Project:<project name>" means that you will be using Virtual Workstation hours assigned to a certain project to create. Virtual Workstation hours will be deducted from the Project pool and NOT your personal account pool of resources, UNLESS you are the project owner and have purchased Virtual Workstation time specifically for the project and assigned those resources to the project. A "Project" resource pool is created by the project owner. The project owner can be you, or another team member. Project resources can be assigned to you, even if you are the project owner.
"Trial"
If you signed up for a software trial, you can select the Trial resource pool.
*Resource pool is blank.
If you cannot select a resource pool, or if the resource pool is blank and not clickable, you may have run out of Virtual Workstation hours. You will need to purchase additional hours, or have additional hours assigned to the project you are/were working on. If you cannot select a resource pool, you cannot log into a Virtual Workstation.
