Follow the visual guide below to get started with rendering a scene, from beginning to end.
Please Note: Test render jobs are free, but they are limited to 1 core hour per render test. If you are running a test render job, you do not need render credits.
Creating a Project
Once you are logged in to the Render Rocket website, you will need to start creating projects. This helps keep your FTP and website organized and free of clutter.
STEP 1 - Click on the Projects tab in the upper portion of your screen.
STEP 2 - Click the "Add New Project" button.
STEP 3 - Enter the name of your project
PLEASE NOTE OPTIONAL: If you have other users associated with your account, select which users will have access to this project.
Source Files Upload
Once your render job project has been created you can now upload your source files.
Web Browser Upload
Web Browser Uploading lets you upload your source files directly through the StratusCore Render Rocket website.
STEP 1 - Click the "Projects" tab
STEP 2 - Select the Project you want to upload to from the list of Projects (once selected, the project and all information will be highlighted with a grey band across the information)
Begin the web upload. Click either:
( ) Upload one or more files simultaneously (Please choose this option when your project has relative paths!)
OR
( ) Upload a top level folder with files an sub-folders
For the tutorial, we will choose to (X) Upload one or more files simultaneously
After you click the radio button the option "Step 2" appears.
Click on the [Browse...] button.
Your operating systems File Manager window will open. Browse to the location of your project files.
You can Ctrl + LMB click to choose multiple files, or Shift + LMB to select a list, or Ctrl + A to select all.
After you have selected all of the necessary project files, click [Open] or [OK]
The File Management display on your StratusCore platform will refresh and "Step 3: Start Upload" will appear. Click the [Upload] button.
As files are uploaded, the progress will change. Please keep in mind that the "Progress ## %" relates to the file listed in Currently Uploading, NOT the entire upload as a whole.
When the upload completes, your browser may ask you to refresh or it will refresh on its own. After the refresh, you will see the uploaded files. You may need to scroll the window down to see the complete file list.
Your cloud render project is now created and files have been uploaded to the render project.
