How to Change your memory limit within Maya 2016
Try Increasing your Dynamic Memory Limit. To do this, open your scene file. Click on the Render Settings icon. Make sure "Render using" is V-Ray. Click on the "Settings tab" and change "Dynamic memory limit" to 10300. Re-save your scene file sequentially changing its name (i.e. myscene-v1.ma or myscene-v2.ma) and re-upload your scene file. Changing the scene file name ensures the new file will be used for the new render job. This may resolve memory issues your scene file is having.
