In order to use a Virtual Workstation, you must have workstation hours purchased, or have a free Virtual Workstation trial. You can verify your remaining Virtual Workstation time on your Dashboard (You'll need to be logged into your StratusCore account). You can purchase more time by clicking the "Purchase" button in the upper right corner of the page.
After logging into Stratuscore.com, use the left navigation pane to click on the "Virtual Workstation" button. This will load the manage Virtual Workstation page.
* Before Initial Virtual Workstation Launch:
Select Your Software
Make sure you have selected all of the software you would like to use in your workstation prior to clicking Launch. By default, Blender and Gimp are included. You DO NOT need to select Blender and Gimp for it to be added to your Virtual Workstation.
Adding software is easy! To add software, click the "Purchase" button at the top of your Dashboard. Once the Purchase page has loaded, click on the "Software" tab and follow the instructions.
NOTE: Some software packages require you upload valid license information in order for you to load the software package.
If you click Launch before selecting the software you require, that software will not be included in your Virtual Workstation.
Run a Speed Test
Although optional, it is a good idea to run a speed test before launching a Virtual Workstation to make sure that your internet connection can support it. Clicking the [Test Connection] button on the Virtual Workstation page will test your internet speed.
NOTE: You can still run a Virtual Workstation even if you do not meet the recommended download, upload, and/or ping speeds, however your performance and or visuals will be affected.
Software: Your Workstation comes with Gimp and Blender but if you wish to add more software, click the [Purchase] button in the upper right corner of the page or the "Add Software" button on the Virtual Workstation management page.
* First Time Launching

(NOTE: If this is your first time using Virtual Workstation, and you have started a trial, you will see "Welcome to the beta trial on StratusCore's Virtual Workstation". Please click [Connect to a Virtual Workstation] )
You will be asked to select the software you want to use in your session. (If you are using a trial, your trial software is already selected) Select from the list on the left, and confirm your choice on the right side of the screen. If you do not see software you want to use, that means you haven't added it to your workstation yet. Click [Add Software] to add more. Once you've selected software, click [Start Session]
Next, you will be led through a series of directions. *If this is the first time launching a workstation session, there will be a few extra steps to follow because you must download and install the app on your computer. The app is used to run a Workstation session.
