Rendering PNG Format with C4D R13

"Why can't I render PNG in C4D R13?"

Earlier versions of C4D (up to R14.014) do NOT support the PNG format. Although all of these earlier versions do support PNG in GUI mode (just not command line). Maxon fixed this starting with R14.034. If you want to render in PNG then you must choose R14 or newer. R13 will need to be rendered to a different format.
