Gamma Correction is disabled by default for all 3DS Max Renders. If Gamma Correction is enabled in your scene file, you can quickly enable it on the "Launch Render" page if necessary.
To verify your scene file requires Gamma Correction, open the "Gamma & LUT" dialog window inside 3DS Max. Here you will see whether or not Gamma Correction has been enabled.
For 3DS Max versions 2014 or newer, the In/Out options have been removed to align with Industry Standards Linear (1.0) or Non Linear (2.2) workflow. If you are using 2014 or newer, set the In/Out values on the Launch page to the same as the Value you have set in the image below.
